My goal is to educate, support, and encourage people living with chronic illness.

Jenneh Rishe

Jenneh lives a full and fulfilled life, despite managing multiple chronic illnesses and surviving open-heart surgery. Her personal experience navigating the healthcare system as a Registered Nurse who was eventually diagnosed with Endometriosis along with several other debilitating conditions makes her uniquely qualified to support anyone navigating their imperfect journey. As the founder of The Endometriosis Coalition and author of Part of You, Not all of You, Jenneh focuses on educating and encouraging people suffering from chronic illness, advocating for their needs, and helping us all pivot to a better direction in our lives.

PART OF YOU, NOT ALL OF YOU

Part of You, Not All of You is a collection of words of affirmation, inspiration, and encouragement from Jenneh herself, and from others living with chronic illness, and includes short stories of Jenneh’s own journey with chronic illness. Part of You, Not All of You doubles as a guided journal and is filled with prompts to help the reader process and arrive at a place where they accept their illness as part of their identity, but not all of their identity.

Life Often Doesn’t Go the Way You Planned.

As we grapple with the rising scourge of chronic illness, which has now passed the tipping point where more people suffer from a chronic condition than don’t, we are struggling to strike the right balance as both a society and as individuals.

Below the Belt

Below The Belt is a documentary about endometriosis by Director, Shannon Cohn and Executive Producers Hillary Rodham Clinton, Rosario Dawson, Corinne Foxx, and Mae Whitman.

Through the lens of four patients — including Jenneh —urgently searching for answers to mysterious symptoms, the film exposes widespread problems in our healthcare systems. From societal taboos and gender bias to misinformed doctors and profit-drive healthcare, the film reveals how millions of people with endometriosis are effectively silenced.

The world premier of Below The Belt took place at the Museum of Modern Art on May 24, 2022 and will debut internationally in early 2023.
